Warning about Starlite Houseboats!
The factory has a history of dropping and damaging boats; in 2008 Starlite Houseboats and James Shelton factory manager knowing shipped a damaged boat to the UK. The buyer was unaware the boat was damaged. After arriving in the UK the boat was deemed un-seaworthy. A total loss for the buyer. See lawsuit: H2O Resorts International, Ltd. v. Starlite Houseboats, Inc. et al. Currently James Shelton and Starlight Houseboats are trying to sell another boat that was dropped.
Starlite Houseboats, James Shelton factory manager and Dennis Hadley of Starlight houseboats Inc. refuse to honor any warranties. One buyer complains her boat is falling a part. James Shelton and Starlite Houseboats is doing nothing to help this buyer.
Starlite Houseboats Inc. also has a history of taking deposits with no intention of building the boats. They owe hundreds of thousands of dollars to creditors and make no plans to pay these creditors back.
James Shelton and Denison State Bank took over Starlite houseboats and is paying all its employees cash while they are collecting unemployment benefits. They pay no employment taxes; pay no social security and state taxes, all while they are collecting unemployment benefits.
